Nathaniel Massy was born in Indianapolis and grew up in Greenwood Indiana, where he graduated from Center Grove High School. He graduated from the O’Neil School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 2018 after studying Public Management and Civic Leadership.

Also in 2018, Nathaniel interned for the Indiana Senate Democratic Caucus, where he worked for Caucus Chair Karen Tallian and Senator Eddie Melton. He was then hired by the Senate Democrats as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Jean Breaux in 2019, and spent three sessions serving District 34 and the northeast side of Indianapolis. In 2022, Nathaniel joined Assistant Minority Leader Shelli Yoder, and serves as Legislative Assistant to District 40.

In his free time, Nathaniel is a dedicated campaign volunteer. He has worked on and volunteered for numerous campaigns across central Indiana, and helped Senator J.D. Ford, Councilor Kristin Jones, Rep. Mitch Gore, and Jared Evans win election and re-election. Nathaniel hopes to use his role at MCYD to build a strong network of active volunteers so that Democrats can continue winning up and down the ballot in Marion County.
