Membership in Marion County Young Democrats (MCYD) is open to anyone between the ages of fourteen and thirty-five years, inclusive, who believes in the principles of the Democratic Party. No person will be denied membership on the basis of race, gender, religion, economic status, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. 

As an organization, we rely on you as a member and our supporters in order to fight for young Democrats in Marion County. Simply submit an easy $20 for the year to keep your membership up-to-date.

01 - Networking and Socials

Members gather on every third Thursday of the month. Additionally, we usually pair a social event at a local entertainment center called Left Wing Night. While COVID-19 restrictions are in place, we will continue to meet virtually.

02 - Voting Rights

Members in good standing are entitled to cast their vote for members running for office. Additionally, they’re able to run for any open position within the organization. 

03 - Event Discounts

Dues-paying members can get free or reduced admission to events throughout the year via our partnerships in the Democratic Party.

Membership dues are $20 yearly, renewed on the date that they were first paid. We accept dues quarterly, semiannually, annually, or you can pay as much as you want upfront and you’ll be a member for as long as that contribution lasts! Whatever works for you right now works for us.
